Not sexy but definitely works!
I bought my husband, a chef, a high quality German steel carving knife and I knew I had to order some kind of sheath to protect the blade because. Don't throw it in the knife box of high-end utensils. I was a bit skeptical about the slip lid but the price made it attractive so I ordered one and covered the knife blade with it. It actually works well as it stays closed and doesn't open in the clutter of the desk drawer. Now I can buy more of these sheaths, sharpen all the blades on our knives and they stay that way!
