Short summary: two main problems: leaks and how the SUPER leak detection system works. I have never been able to work. My journey was long enough that I couldn't return the item. the return window has expired (by about two weeks). unsatisfied. I saw the overall rating of the review and did not read the details. Now I wish I had read the details of the other reviews. I've never tried Sealife products before, but this experience doesn't make me want to try their other products. I've had a Kraken phone case for a long time, as well as other underwater camera cases - I know how to take care of the O-rings. and seals. I bought it for a trip to Bonaire as the Kraken case was too small for the iPhone 12 pro max. I tested this at home before leaving (small test - a drop in the sink) and although I really don't like how it works (you have to use a vacuum pump to suck "just right" - not too much and not too little then wait 3.5 minutes to see if there is a leak If it detects a leak after 3.5 minutes try again) I was finally able to get it to do the 3.5 minutes -Pass the test and hold water for a short time. I'm trying to set it up on Bonaire and after a dozen tries, fresh o-ring, fresh sealant (they come with the chamber) I've encountered many problems and never got it to work. The first problem: the humidity difference between the inside and outside triggered a leak alarm even before I tried to put the iPhone in the case. The alarm stopped screaming, I gave up after 4 attempts to seal the case (3.5 minutes trying). The next day I decided to make sure the opened iPhone cases both got warm and I used a spare o-ring along with fresh sealant. Again, I have a lot of experience with sealed housings for other cameras and am pretty sure the o-ring is free of debris or other defects and the correct amount of sealant has been applied. After 3 more attempts I finally passed the 3.5 minute pressure test and thought "piny, but if I can get it to work at least I'll take pictures." I start the dive and as soon as I splash the leak alarm goes off and indeed there was a bit of flooding (phone was fine - no more than 3ft deep) but I had to abort the dive. Two more experiments with interrupted dive. Dives trying everything I knew also failed. From that point on, I tried using it for diving only, but it didn't even work there. I may have a bad case and try the RMA, but the overall design and looking at other reviews suggest poor product design. I hope someone else makes a case for my new phone because the photos are amazing. There is no other product on the market that is suitable for scuba diving so I'm a bit stuck.
