The starter failed on the 5th day after installation. Unfortunately this was after the exchange period and it is not an easy task. I took the starter apart and one of the braided copper wires was frayed and was probably touching the commutator or interfering with the brush contact. There was also a loose piece of broken black plastic that could have caused problems. I trimmed the excess stranded wires and used a new brush assembly and plunger assembly to rebuild the OEM starter using the OEM nose cone, magnet housing and metal. planetary gear. I used the stock brush and piston springs as they were stiffer. I also used the rotor that came with this starter after cleaning the commutator. Now it works great. This starter costs less than charging the core or rebuilding parts for the brush assembly and plunger assembly at local shops. Installation is quite laborious, so doing it twice is not interesting. I knew what I was getting myself into, but in the end I got it. I will order replacement parts and restore the balance for replacement parts.
