These earring backs are a snug fit so I assume they won't fall off. One pair of earrings has a thick shank so I couldn't use these earring backs on them but all the others were fine. I have no more comments on these earrings, especially since I just bought them. I have no allergic reactions to jewelry. I bought these because a pair of my stud earrings had green copper, but I'm not sure if the previous backs or contact with my earlobes was to blame. Previous backs had a finish that looked like brass or similar base metal, which made me suspicious. It took a long time for the green copper to form so it will be a few years before I know how well these earring backs help with that.
