Review on ๐Ÿ’ป InWin 301 Black Tempered Glass Premium Micro-ATX/Mini-ITX Gaming Computer Case by Timothy Louis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Invin really screwed it up in this case.

I have been a computer fitter for 35 years. I really do NOT know what the engineers were thinking when designing this case. Your big problem will be running cables and installing 2.5" drives. The cable holes are not in the best position for modern motherboards. The cables come out almost flush with the board and this will be a problem if you need to remove or add something to the board after the first time. for 2.5" drives. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to connect platter cables. While I prefer on-board NVME drives, a real nightmare awaits you if you go for the 2.5" SSD. And here's the understand I just don't WHY InWin doesn't research the thousands of professional installers they sell to.It's so obvious their designers have no contact with the real builders and are just building theory.I'm saying this because you're trying to install SDD .can be installed in ONE PLACE, you will find that both metal and plastic prevent the power cable and SATA cable connectors from accessing the drive. No matter how you rotate the drive, the problem remains board mounting design flaws. There's a front baffle that blocks SATA ports for motherboards with side-facing SATA connectors It's STUPID that board manufacturers look at SATA connectors sideways And it's been since a battle between cases and boards for over a decade when OEMs are too stubborn to work together. In this particular case, there is a flat area on the board that would be ideal for InWin to add a tool-less mount for 2.5" SSDs. They actually do this in other cases, so why they've ignored that possibility is beyond me. The total time it took me to assemble the case and components was over two hours. It's crazy. and although it is a beautiful body because of the magnetic glass window and the appearance. It was an absolute nightmare to build. I ended up having to use double sided tape to attach the SSD. (on top of the front bulkhead, which is NOT the professional solution I would like for this case.
