Very shiny compared to the picture!
I'm only giving these 4 because they looked more rustic in the picture but on arrival they were horribly shiny. As a gift to my mom who loves antiques so much, I had to soak them in wet coffee grounds for a couple of weeks to color them to match their general home aesthetic. Luckily I ordered them early enough to have time to make the perfect gift before Christmas! durable, good size, functional and adorable for those who love elephants as much as my mom! All in all a great product for the price.
