Out of the box, the image shows various large dark streaks which are clearly due to dust on the sensor. I've bought over half a dozen different ELP camera boards, failures are pretty common. Maybe you'll have better luck than me this time. Aside from the extra dust on the sensor, this is a well designed product. The lens is easy to adjust unlike some others. It's not a pro SLR lens or anything, but it seems pretty good. I use them with Orange Pi SoC, Armbian Linux and mjpg streamer boards to build IP security cameras that I query with Blue Iris software. The product also includes an input or output magnet IR filter which is not required for my application. Without dust on the sensor, I would rate this at least a 4. LATER: I disassembled the lens mount to access the sensor and washed it with 91% isopropyl. alcohol and got rid of most of the dust or whatever on the sensor. The image has greatly improved, but some blemishes remain. I also glued the input/output IR filter to the IR cut position so I don't have to mess with the solenoid wiring. I do not need to repair a new item hence the 2 star rating remains.
