Review on Auroum Building Block Toys Kids by Rob Marsh

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice unofficial Technic style kit but two pieces were missing!

RoHS QKL-02 "38 Mold Machine Series" building blocks (221 pieces, ages 6+). This is a combination of standard and tech LEGO knockoffs that can be used to build 38 different models. in the owner's manual (I've only collected 14 of them for this review), many of which have crank gears. There are usually enough parts to assemble one model at a time. The complexity of the projects varies, but on average they are of medium difficulty. These blocks are decent quality but the joints tend to be too tight (you'll definitely need the included brick splitting tool!) There were no bad pieces but 2 blocks were missing - not cool. Thick, full-color instructions are good, but the drawings are small and a bit confusing at times. It's not the most exciting set in the world, but you can explore various technical principles with it and it's satisfying. it comes from building functional simple machines. Many toys claim to provide a STEM learning experience, and this toy really delivers on that promise. With the exception of two missing pieces and what sometimes disappoints the model, this is a good set. It's not a bad buy if you just need a few extra Technic components. The original price was $20, which I wouldn't recommend, but I bought it on sale for $10. I give it a 3.5/5.0 Spinning Gears and would probably rate it higher if nothing was missing.
