UPDATE 09/18/19: Pull cable snapped, therefore the mechanism cannot rotate. 0 stars for durability. It didn't even take the normal return period that Revane gives us. I believe this is a design or material defect related to the cable. My 20 year old wired model still works, not broken. Can Progressive go back to the old design? I have an old progressive design from about 20 years ago. It has a cord, but it spins in two directions, not one. At the first jerk it rotates forward and at the next jerk it rotates in the opposite direction. This inversion actually removes water from the lettuce greens more effectively than any other unidirectional spinner I've tried. Even though my old spinner is about 20 years old it still works, cables and all. I needed a second spinner so I bought this newer version. Very good quality, works great. The plastic is strong, bends easily - not as brittle as some spinners. What I like is the design of the tension rope - easier in my opinion than pumping or twisting the piston like other spinners. The stop button also works. I love the refreshing lime green color of the basket/lid against the clear bowl. I've had it for about 3 weeks and use it about once a day. Update in 4-6 months. Update, 3 weeks, broken cable, frozen mechanics, that can't be repaired either. See updated photos above. Sorry I can't recommend this until the material or design is settled.
