I HATE leaving bad reviews but one day it will be justified.

I am 59 years old and have been working on auto parts since I was 15 years old. This is the worst leather product I have ever used. I spent most of my morning cleaning the leather in my newly purchased used car. I make my own cleaner with the pH level I need for my leather treatment (in this case: Lexol Leather Conditioner) to soften the leather and beautify it nicely. When it came time to use Lexol I was skeptical about how watery it was (after lots of shaking) but it was a new product and I figured I'd see how it performed. I applied the product heavily in some areas and lightly in others, and when it came time to wipe it off after it was all done, I was very surprised with the results. Firstly, you CANNOT use a microfiber cloth with this product as it will stick to it like Velcro. So I tried terrycloth, and it turned out to be slightly better (and not much). It's like wax (and I don't mean car wax), beeswax! Candle wax. It's anything but smooth. I polished and polished it and it never got smooth or slippery. No one likes to slip into their car and discover that there isn't a "slip" in their freshly cleaned and treated leather. The product has a sticky feel which is a real disappointment. I don't know if anyone reading this is a carpenter or joiner, but there is a product called "Tack Cloth" (it looks like waxed gauze). collects dust and sawdust. This product should be called Lexol's Tack Leather Cleaner. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
