My cats loved this food and grew up on the KITTEN formula and then switched to the Adult formula but after a year my kitten developed blister crystals, was sooty and was urinating blood and vomiting! My other female and male cats did not have this. All three have been fixed. So just in your head! I hope this is an isolated case. But the vet said some cats are just prone to crystallization and dry food can cause this problem. After a $650 vet bill, we switched my cat with severe blister crystals to the Science Diet recipe wet food. And now I'm taking my other cats away from this thing for fear of it happening again. If you love your cat, switch or don't buy! And if you only feed your cats dry food, consider giving them wet food every two feedings, otherwise cats get most of their water intake from food during the day, so having wet food in their diet is important. We also did that during our transition period and have now completely switched to wet food. I've spoken to numerous cat owners who have only fed their cats wet food and lived very long, healthy lives. However, cat owners and vets I spoke to who only fed their cats dry food had constant problems and the poor cats didn't live long.
