Review on HENCKELS Statement Paring Knife: Sleek 3-inch Black/Stainless Steel Blade for Precision Cutting by Joshua Follansbee

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The rest of the reviews were correct.

weight (steel thickness) doesn't bother. It's normal, it seems important. The handle is a little heavy, but that's okay. But the rear corner of the blade sticks out a lot and I cut myself on it the first day. I have to remember to hold the knife far in front and keep my thumb in front of the sharp corner. You will regret not doing it. The bottom line is I don't use a knife, a $10 waste. I have an update to my old review. I used the grinding wheel attachment on my Dremel tool to hone and smooth the back sharp corner of the knife. The result is a very durable all-purpose knife that is used for cutting heavy objects such as a large slice of hard cheese. It works great and I haven't cut myself since doing it.

Pros
  • nice thing
