Made of aluminum and retains heat well from the environment. This can burn your hands because unlike the steering wheel, it's not insulated in any way. For some reason, heat dissipation takes time even when the car is cold. It's also small and light, which I personally like. On my car (BRZ) it doesn't cover the underbody like the OEM model, as shown in the picture (you can see the plastic part of the shifter shaft), so if that bothers you (I'm learning to ignore it), look elsewhere.
