Product packaging offers a $75,000 5-year warranty on the product and associated equipment. I purchased this product and an electrician installed it for home surge protection. The HVAC fan motor stopped working and the HVAC technician wrote that it was due to an electrical surge (common in Florida). The repair cost was $320. The printed limited warranty includes five steps to submitting a claim. After calling Schneider they gave a completely different process including having an electrician remove the unit, sending it to Schneider for inspection (all at my expense) and if they decide in their infinite wisdom that their unit does not have my equipment could protect me, they will reimburse me for my expenses. A follow-up email from the company presented a completely different, but more cumbersome, warranty claims process. In any case, these processes do not live up to their written guarantee. This company fails to honor its written warranty after its equipment stops working. Rather than filing a claim now, I'll wait until their faulty device blows up more expensive hardware to file either a warranty claim or a lawsuit (based on their defunct customer support).
