For You Kids. In 1990 I was a teenager and the proud owner of an 8-bit SoundBlaster card. It WAS the bomb! Buying the "Creative 70SB174000000 Sound BlasterX AE-5 .PCIe Gaming Sound Card” seemed like a win as I have an ASROCK TAICHI motherboard with 16GB RAM and a 7i processor. I was wrong. The AE-5 sound card is so terrible I don't know if the card or the engineers and software developers are to blame. Pros: No. Cons: Volume increases and decreases randomly. I've given up controlling the base case. "Sound Blaster Connect" is mediocre. It gives you a few in-game music settings, followed by some Creative Labs staff like "Concert Carol" or "Neutral David". The interface offers no software guidance (come on, have you heard of ROLLOVER? It's 2019!). So you have to guess what works and what doesn't. Finally, it turned out that watching movies with VLC or AiseeSoft was a real headache. I had to fiddle with both programs to get a sound, and when the movie is playing the volume randomly increases LOUD, drowning out the actors' dialogue. This map is a nightmare. Let's get creative!
