Review on Razer Basilisk Essential Gaming Mouse + Mouse Bungee Bundle: Sleek Black for Enhanced Performance by Michael Baek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

There were no problems with the synapse - I got up automatically on win10, there are a lot of settings. The only pity is that the petal key can only be reassigned to another, for example, dubbing a key on the keyboard, it cannot have an independent function. I will use it for now, because the customization options and quality are very pleasing, and when the quarantine is over, I will go to feel other options. I don't recommend buying it without trying it on. But given the price, design and build, this is one of the best mice on the market.

Pros
  • First of all, the build quality and the overall quality of materials are pleasing, it is immediately clear that the mouse is not cheap. The cable is lightweight and flexible. Key sounds are clear, moderately sonorous, not muffled, tactile. I hope this will be the case in 1-2 years. Convenient key-petal. In some games, 2 side keys may not be enough, but here the ideal location of the 3rd key, I think the raiser was a very cool idea. The rubber bands on the sides are also well done, and this is the main reason why I bought the essential version, and not the usual one - dirt clogs there and grip is worse with wet palms. There are no questions about the sensor - it works as it should, but for pro players, of course, it is rather weak.
Cons
  • Amateur form. Ideal for palm grip if less than 18 cm long and 8 cm wide. Definitely not for big hands. On my bloody V3, it was just a finger, but here there is almost no space for the little finger and the ring finger, because the RMB is omitted a lot. Yes, and in general, the height is not enough. It’s not convenient to make sharp turns with it, especially at resolutions below 700, but if you don’t play shooters, but calmer games, you can get used to it.
