I should have read the description better. This light is SMALL. I mean, it's okay I guess, but I'm not thrilled with all of this. First, it's smaller than a soda bottle. To be honest, my travel coffee mug is bigger than this lantern. So if you're looking for something more for your wall, this isn't it. Second, there is no cable. It is bare, the wire itself is light. There's nothing in the kit to help you with the wiring, other than instructions, so make sure you know how to access the wires in your walls or how to connect a wire to them. Luckily my husband had no problem with it, but he wasn't expecting it. Also, this thing is CRAZY BRIGHT. For example, if you look at this, you'll spend the next 2 hours blindly bumping into things in your house, bright. We wanted this to bring some 'cozy' light into our rather gloomy living room, and while it looks ok from across the room, it's a pity for the poor man who sits underneath and cries his eyes melt. This silly little flashlight contains half the direct power of the sun or something I'm telling you. Overall we're not thrilled with it, but since we went to all the trouble of stripping the wires and assembling this thing we won't be returning it. It only happens very, very rarely. For example, if I need to find a needle in a thick Berber rug, find a contact lens on a piece of broken glass, or just want to get a bad migraine while reading a book, then I can use this. Otherwise it doesn't happen. I have to say it is well made and looks good. They could have just done a lot better.
