I really like this phone. I've been a Blu fan since Studio 5.0 C. I started about 6 years ago. It's still in there somewhere, in a drawer. Not much has changed at Blu in terms of customers since then. They still offer good value for your purchasing power. I love unlocked phones. I don't like my phone tied to a company and I don't like the freedom to pick up my phone and leave if I want. I'm glad they haven't deviated from that approach. The G91 is a great budget alternative with a big dog-inspired design. Design: I chose the green version and it's really good. The front has a large screen with tiny bezels and a camera in the top left corner. There's a tiny chin at the bottom, but otherwise it's pretty much the entire screen. The back is made of easy-to-grip plastic and feels good in the hand. In addition, the Blu includes a nice smoky clear case that also shows off the phone. Screen: This is one area where I had a big problem. It says HD+ and I didn't think of that when I ordered it. When I think of HD I think of 1080p, but the new standard is HD = 720p. I use the phone most of the week and the screen resolution is barely noticeable. None of the materials I looked at look uneven. It all looks great. The IPS panel on this phone is crisp and has great colors. I'm sure if I played more games it would be a problem. Performance: This is another area that surprised me. It uses a MediaTek Helio A25 processor. Usually people want to see a Snapdragon processor, but MediaTek has made great strides in the quality of their processors. It's an octa-core processor that handles multitasking fairly well. Now and then I have a slight lag when switching between tasks and games, but generally it goes very quickly. The speaker and call quality are also good. I mentioned above that it comes with a case, but headphones are also included. They are similar in design to Apple headphones. They're not quite up to the same standard, but they're really good for the accessories that come with them. Since they are not closed, you don't get super bass, but the mids and highs are really good. Battery: It comes with a 5000mAh battery. I use 3 days without charging with daily media consumption. It really shines in that department. Some of the factors that really help here are the screen resolution and the power-hungry nature of the MediaTek processor. Camera: Well, it can't do anything amazing at this price point, can it? Eh, while the Blu is by no means bad at implementing cameras, it's no Samsung or Pixel. Photos are good in sunlight and not bad in low light. Even the night mode is decent. Again, my expectations for the price aren't high and it really beats them, but my daily driver is the Pixel 4a 5G and I have nothing to compare it to. I recently used a OnePlus Nord N10 5G and I will say that the camera is better implemented here on the Blu G91. Cellular: I haven't made many calls but I've tried Cricket, Tmobile and Redpocket, Sims in this phone and they all worked fine. No dropped calls or connection issues. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend this phone if you're looking for mid-range phone features at a great price. Especially if you don't want to be tied to a specific cell phone provider. Have a successful day!
