Attention buyers, I have to write this with great regret, firstly, annoying noise no matter what, with or without a filter. Secondly, in 5 hours of operation, the humidity NEVER dropped one degree, and there was "spitting" in the tank. It's unreal how painful it is to pack up and come back. I also have a TISSOT, so this isn't my first rodeo. It's the best little workhorse in the business and energy efficient. Buy it, it's worth a few cents more. Also previously owned by GE and DANKO. The basement always needs one and that should complement the above. Further again. Not this one.
