I bought these for my daughter for riding camp. She opened them yesterday and they had a lovely awful smell. You know the smell that towels get in the washing machine because someone forgot them. They smelled like this after drying out and then reinstalling. I can only assume they are old or have been left warm for a long time. Went to Target and got a new pack (I didn't know they were there), this pack smells fresh and clean. Generally, if it's hot outside, just head over to Target.
