This device has a few useful features and charges well as long as you have a compatible charger (more on that below). have used this device to charge HiQuick 2800mAh AA batteries. I charge them every day as they are used to power very high energy lamps. I like that when I insert batteries I can see the status of each battery and the battery level. I also think it's good that the status "ERR" is displayed in the event of a loading problem. The device charges well, my batteries are fully charged and ready to go every day. I first tried turning on the device using an old cell phone charger with a USB output. This device is not compatible with the charger. Strangely, this worked for about 30 days, after which I saw an "ERR" status. After speaking to HiQuick support, they recommended "using a 5V/2A adapter to charge the batteries. If you use a 5V/1A adapter it won't have enough power to charge the batteries at the same time.” A charger would be a nice addition to the product (or just a regular power cord). I swapped the adapters and that solved my problem. Overall I am happy with the device and very happy with the customer support. I would give 5 stars if it came with an adapter.
