I have compared these headlights to three different brands, each claiming to be the brightest and best. By any standards, these lights were the brightest of the three, but I was extremely disappointed with the distance on the dotted portion of the LEDs. It has good bright Flood LEDs but the Spot LEDs are bad. The bracket that broke on the car was also the best of the three lights. . This one is actually made of steel, while the other two are made of thin aluminum or some other soft material that won't hold the magnet. So I know it wasn't Steel. These lights are an absolute pain in the butt to try and set up. With two tiny hex screws installed at the back of the flashlight, you can't see. The back of the flashlight, not to mention putting your hand back in and tightening or loosening those little allen screws.
