I usually buy my daughter a size up. She is 5 and wears 5-6. But for this skirt I go for a 7-8 and it fits her well (if a bit long). This skirt is her new favorite and she wears it at least once a week. The colors are strong (as shown). The elastic waist is a little tight (one of the reasons to increase the size).
