I like to keep a towel or two handy out in the garage in case me and the pooch get caught in a shower, especially this time of year. I really liked the looks of this towel, so I accepted an offer for a discounted sample in exchange for me taking the time to evaluate it and share my observations with you in the hopes that it can help you in your shopping.In short - it's got a great look and size to it, the microfiber construction makes it "stick" to my hands more so than a cotton towel would and that feels odd to me, but it definitely dries very well. At first, I didn't really like it because of how it would catch on my hands, but it's ability to quickly dry off my pooch Ivory has won me over.$26 for a towel is a lot, IMO, especially when I can snag two or three for that price down at Target. For drying myself off, I'd pick a cotton towel every day of the week because I like the feel of cotton and they work well. For drying Ivory off, though - this is great and, IMO, worth the extra money. I can use a couple of cotton towels to get the job done (and maybe have her still be a bit damp), or use this towel and have it get done faster. Faster is a big plus, as you know if you also have a pooch who (a) doesn't love to be toweled off and (b) is really, REALLY excited to get inside.I've had this for two months now and am very glad that I got it. Like I said - I didn't like it at first, but it only took one use of it after a storm to make me a believer. Had I felt this at a store, I would have put it right back on the shelf and not even considered it. And that would have been a shame, because it works fantastically. I now have this on a towel rack right outside of the door coming in from the garage, and it's ever ready to get Ivory dry and protect the rest of the house from the well-known doggy water shake.
