Review on Dimensions Needlecrafts 08819 Christmas Stocking by Kelly Caballes

This was my first cross stitch and it turned out well; The design was easy to follow and I had provided more than enough thread for each color. Two big cons: First, the back felt was terrible and didn't live up to the quality of the finished design. I went to a fabric store and bought batting and fabric for the inside and back instead. Second, the gray Aida fabric is meant to serve as a background for some of the sky and snow. While this is common with cross stitches, it didn't look quite finished for a project of this quality, so I bought some strands of DMC fabric paint and filled in instead. It took me 6 months until Christmas. 1st Photo: Design is partially complete. The sky to the left of the sled is an unfilled Hades Cloth that I later filled in. 2nd picture: finished stocking, ready to hang on the mantel!
