Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Nintendo 2DS Electric Blue 2 Bundle with New Super Mario Bros. 2 - Game Pre-Installed by James Chandran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Satisfactory device for its price, not as comfortable as I expected.

As someone who has had the opportunity to try both the new 3DS and the new 3DS XL, I have this to say about the 2DS, some of which I hope you won't normally find in other reviews. (obviously still subjective) Let's start with the cons: - The top is a bit heavier than I expected - The location of the LR button on the top and the overall design are problematic. - The sides are sharper than the new 3DS models. - Of course my hands want to keep the console lower and index fingers back, but the above factors cause you to hold them closer to the center and index fingers stay upright. Combined with the sharper sides, this can make this device a little harder to hold for some people. I would like to try PDP trigger grips but they are either too hard to find or too expensive. While I don't use stereoscopic 3D most of the time, on rare occasions I wish I could turn it on to see the effect. On the plus side: + The plastic feels nice and not cheap. + The screen looks nice , colors and backlight very good + The smaller screen is not embarrassing at all, the difference to the (normal) new 3DS is very small, and I generally prefer the smaller screen for its sharpness. It might be worth it for Xenoblade 3D Chronicles, but other than that there are almost no games that are worth it (Xenoblade is also available for other consoles and should appear on Switch) + loading times and battery life also felt good (exact numbers not verified ) + easy SD card access, good + that it's solid means you won't have to suffer from top screen shake while gaming! My biggest concern is that it won't hold up as comfortably as I expected, mostly due to the placement of the LR, but it's still comfortable enough and a good deal for its price.
