I spend a lot of time with a speakerphone at work and when I was looking for a phone for my home office I decided on Polycom. Anyone who has spent time in corporate conference rooms knows that Polycom is the industry standard for business conference phones. I've had many home office phones from other brands and while they had many nice features and functions, they all lacked a quality speakerphone. Hands-free phone technology is Polycom's niche, and if that's what you're looking for, take a look at this phone. I have owned this phone for over 2 years and have been completely satisfied with the sound quality of the speakerphone and the phone in general. In fact, many callers requested and bought this particular phone because of the amazingly high quality sound they heard when I spoke to them on the speakerphone. Many of the reviews here describe issues with other features of the phone and for the most part I would agree. I don't store numbers in this phone, so this shortcoming doesn't bother me. I notice that I've read that plugging in a headset causes problems. One of the reasons I like this phone is that the audio quality on hands-free calls is so high that a headset isn't needed in my situation and would be an extra tether, which I don't want. In summary, most phones don't. They have the high-quality hands-free speaker that this device comes with. It has two lines and a mute function. If these features are important to you, then this is the phone you should consider.
