Great speakerphone for the home office

This is a great speakerphone with exceptional clarity. This has made working from home easier for me as I have to make hours of phone calls several times a week. This is a major improvement over the typical consumer speakerphone. I also like the fact that the ringer volume, beep volume, and speaker, handset, and headset volume are independently adjustable. On my previous phone, when I adjusted the speaker volume for the phone system, the next time I used the headset, the dial tone was…

On paper and first use, this phone is great for the home office

On paper and first use, this phone is great for the home office. The quality of the duplex speakerphone is very good, almost what you would expect from a commercial device, solid construction, great form factor, excellent volume and sound quality, easy integration with a Plantronics headset and lift arm. Here's the problem - dropped calls. The first unit I bought had this problem within a few months, and the new unit had the same problem a few years later. Not always, but enough and I've…

Erratic behavior makes it almost useless

I had two samples of this phone but gave up in disgust. Both samples behaved the same. Obvious Cons: Sometimes when I picked up the speakerphone, people on the other end couldn't hear me at all. I've had people hang up thinking the line was dead. - I could hear my own voice loudly (louder than the person on the other end of the line) in the earpiece when using the headset (so loud that I even heard the connection and squeaked once). - The volume seemed to change significantly from one ring to…

  • There's something to it

  • Weak dialing

This was my third attempt at designing a new dual line phone for a private company that provides professional financial services. In short, I needed a phone that would give me maximum productivity since I spend most of my time on my phone. Initially, I tried the Uniden TRU9466 Wireless, but the performance of the speakerphone and headset was not sufficient. I then tried the AT&T 993 two-line wired speakerphone and found that the speakerphone and headset performance on this model was even worse…

Great speakerphone

I spend a lot of time with a speakerphone at work and when I was looking for a phone for my home office I decided on Polycom. Anyone who has spent time in corporate conference rooms knows that Polycom is the industry standard for business conference phones. I've had many home office phones from other brands and while they had many nice features and functions, they all lacked a quality speakerphone. Hands-free phone technology is Polycom's niche, and if that's what you're looking for, take a…

Great phone for the home office!

This is the best home office speakerphone I have ever reviewed. I spend at least 5-6 hours a day using the speakerphone and this phone does the job perfectly. Microphone and speakerphone are excellent - digital duplex. People on the other end of the line can hear me with no problem. The speakerphone is as loud as you want. The phone appears to have almost improved the quality of the original phone line. I've searched multiple phones over the past three months. Starting with standard corded RCA,

Great for small business

I bought a Poycom SoundPoint SE-220 to replace an old SoundPoint phone (1988) that was damaged by lightning. After I plugged the new phone into my line, I called my father, who had worked at Telephone Systems for a long time. Even with his practiced ears, he had to ask me if I liked speakerphone or not. It made me smile at the money I spent on this phone. I speak on the speakerphone for about six hours every workday, sometimes 75 to 100 people attend conferences. The sound quality of these…
