I love this coat hanger and so does my kitty. Very strong block and takes up much less space than the original hall tree. There was some difficulty aligning the posts where the poles connect before installing them on the unit. Just work on aligning them and you will be fine. If a wooden shelf is being installed and it is too tight and difficult to fit into the unit, loosen the two posts a little and it will fit. I also used a tool to line up the holes on the unit to insert the screws. (some were more difficult than others) The kit included everything needed for assembly (diagram, screws, etc.)
