I had such high hopes for this hook. I need something more ergonomic than old fashioned flimsy metal hooks. But the shape of the hook on this hook is very similar to Boye's hook and it is difficult to pull it back through the loops. Susan Bates hooks are wider at the end of the hook and taper sharply to a comfortable point. The hook is the part that points to your hand. The design allows the hook to fly through the loops while you work. But Susan Bates hooks are not ergonomically designed and the neck is short compared to Boye and those Addis. I just add padding around the shank of my Susan Bates hooks and live with what I want to change. I just don't want to struggle to get the hook back in the loops. This makes crocheting more of a chore than a pleasure. So I am not satisfied with this purchase. Sending it back is too cumbersome, but is not used.
