These are really fantastic and fun to play with big dice, bright colours, well sanded smooth surfaces and rounded colours. The best wooden blocks I've found. However, they do have some quality control issues, which I don't expect at such a premium price point (nearly $1 per block). I bought 4 sets of these for my kids and 2 out of 4 boxes came with no lid and 1 box came with parts missing. So if you are planning to buy them as a gift, you need to make sure you have enough time to return them and exchange them for another box if the box you receive is disappointing. I also wish they would sell larger kits at a lower price as they get very expensive very quickly when you want to build something substantial. My 4 year old daughter was constantly missing blocks from her builds and it really took her 3-4 sets to unleash her creativity.
