Sturdy travel cage with minor design flaws

Preparing for a long-distance move later this year, I thought I'd upgrade my green-cheeked kennel's travel cage that used to be a crappy $15 pet store cage. This cage is definitely an improvement! It's about twice the size and very durable. There is no feeling that any part of it will fall off. It's pretty easy to put together - unlike some other reviewers, I didn't need pliers or a hammer, but I did have to grease my elbow a bit. While the cage can technically be taken apart I don't think I will as I'm not sure how well the paint will hold up. What I like most about the cage is the very large door. It's not very easy to lock up my bird and take it out when needed. The grid stays in the cage fairly well, as does the tray. The food cups were easy to set up and quite large. The cage is also big enough that I don't feel bad about leaving my bird in there for so long. However, I have to remove the star on the handle/perch. The cage is VERY heavy and the handle is missing. It's very thin and I can feel the metal flexing under the pressure of the rest of the cage. My arm also hurts after wearing the cage for more than a minute. Maybe in the future I'll wrap the handle in a towel and hope it doesn't break. Overall this is a good cage with some small design flaws. I think my bird will be happy traveling in it and I'm glad he's in something safe!
