When I received this product, I couldn't help but think of The Parable of the Wise and the Foolish Builders, also known as The House Built on the Rock. I ended up sanding down the wooden handle which was almost like the raw wood I had to add and applied 3 coats of tung oil to the finish and let it dry for 1 month before putting it in my shower.
