They give the truck more light when reversing. They were supposed to come with a template, but there wasn't one and that definitely made it difficult to install. I connected them to a relay so I'm not sure if they will burn your wires if you connect them to a direct connection. They do a good job but could do better. However, there is good value for money. They're worth the price if you just want to add some extra light to your reverse lights, they've added a lot of light to mine and I already have LED spotlights on my mirror, LED lights on my tailgate lights and a light bar on my tailgate. Even then, they added extra light to the sides of my truck when reversing with no problem
