Review on πŸ”Œ OHP INPA Cable FTDI FT232RL USB OBD2 for BMW Diagnostic Coding - K Line Support, Windows Compatible by Kenny Loeslein

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great on e46. A jumper is not required.

Works as it should for E46. Gain access to engine and chassis modules at INPA. There was no need to connect terminals like some other cables require. It looks like the cable is of poor build quality. I didn't expect this cable to stand up to heavy use in the shop. I still give it 5 stars as it arrived quickly and saved me the hassle of looking for a working cable or visiting the retailer. I used to have another cable that was out of stock. Decided to risk it. Because of this I can't speak to installing drivers etc because when I plugged it in it seemed like it was using the drivers that were present. The only suggestion I can make is if you are in a similar situation and having trouble connecting to the car, check in Device Manager that the cable is connected to COM1. If it doesn't, you need to go to advanced settings and change it to COM1. I am adding because I know there may be some discrepancy when receiving the product with these cables: Received blue cable with blue adapter. Everything as in the photo in the product description.
