Excellent support, best in tools and hardware

I bought this for troubleshooting DSC on an E39. The included installer includes INPA and a few other tools. I had a problem installing it on a tablet, but the seller was very responsive (and quick) to emails. We ended up having a live session to go through the configuration. I ended up installing on another laptop and the provided installer made the installation go smoothly and there were no issues. The key point here is the OHP tool support. Your support was worth the price.

Life Saver is the best in tools and equipment

So my E46 went into limp mode when the crankshaft position sensor failed. Replaced the sensor and the DME still has an error and no matter how much you erase the CEL code with an OBD2 scanner, the DME still puts the car in emergency mode. Now I'm stuck with nowhere to go and don't want to steal it, so that's the next option. The cable itself is fine and works out of the box with INPA and other BMW software. Before that I used the previous cable which I had to throw away because it wouldn't…

WORKS GREAT, not easy to use, love it!

Bought for my 2003 e39 530i. My Innova didn't delete my transfer code. Very happy to use this, worth installing (and reading the instructions!). It took me a while to install and work with my Win7 laptop. After that, you need to be careful when using the software for the first time. I've had to do a little digging to get to my model since the beginning of the INPA program. Removed transfer code, no problem. Great cable and software, just not as easy to use as a scanner stand. MUCH cheaper than…

Legal FTDI chip! on Code Readers & Scan Tools

I ordered this to replace the fake K-Line cable I use for VCDS on my MK4 VW Jetta. The fake worked for VCDS but I couldn't get it to work with the Bosch Unisettings program to change some ECM settings. I keep getting the error "FTDI device not found" no matter what I try. This cable popped up and I tried it. Plugged it in and Windows 10 found it right away. I updated the drivers via Device Manager and voila! Unisettings recognized the cable and added it to my devices. This indicates that the…

2000 E39 ABS Trifecta

I bought this for an ABS DSC Trifecta diagnosis and it arrived a day early which boded well. One problem I had was that none of my laptops had a DVD drive, but I downloaded the software mentioned in one of the reviews and it was easy to install. I first installed it on Win 10 and it registered as a real FDTI but it didn't connect. After reading a few posts I installed a Win XP virtual machine and tried that. still no connection. Time to READ THE MANUAL! Setting the COM port to COM1 in the…

Works great on e46. A jumper is not required.

Works as it should for E46. Gain access to engine and chassis modules at INPA. There was no need to connect terminals like some other cables require. It looks like the cable is of poor build quality. I didn't expect this cable to stand up to heavy use in the shop. I still give it 5 stars as it arrived quickly and saved me the hassle of looking for a working cable or visiting the retailer. I used to have another cable that was out of stock. Decided to risk it. Because of this I can't speak to…
