Bought for gym use, treadmill included. I used to use beat up jazz classics but decided to switch to something more specific. The fit, as expected, is more like a glove (but firmer than my Type A8), which is nice, but the insoles are a lot softer than I'm used to, to the point where I feel like I'm walking on a water bed. For the past 10 years I've run all distances in minimal shoes (now Trail Glove 4) but even compared to the Jazz they feel too soft. The soles themselves seem pretty stiff, so I might swap out the insoles for something with less cushioning. The price is right for a shoe that doesn't undergo any serious processing. I wouldn't recommend them for running but people might like them for long walks.
