I bought this in May 2011 to replace a cheap one that didn't fit the seat well and lasted less than a week. This fit well on the seat and was comfortable. It was mounted on the cloth driver's seat of a 2005 Ford Escape. I haven't had any complaints in the last 18 months but now the polyurethane cords on the seat are loosening and this part is falling apart. I don't know how they will hold up. I'm giving it four stars based on its past performance. With stronger binding material it would have deserved 5 stars. Update 01/31/2014: Apart from the loosening I mentioned a year ago, the cover still works perfectly. There were no additional anchoring errors, although the previous split was not resolved. There are no protruding ridges, just a gap in the middle of the part of the seat that I adjust before sitting down. It's still comfortable. I'll probably buy another one as it's the best comfort design I've found so far.
