Review on πŸ”§ Spectra Premium GMP08A Oil Pan for Chevrolet Blazer and Camaro by Cedrick Ayudara

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No leaks! for pans and drain plugs

Bought this sump to replace a long 350 engine block I installed last fall. The oil pan on the engine I replaced did not work on the new engine. Leaked, tried the best seal, Fel Pro available, RTV with extra attention to torque. There was also a leak. I decided to get a new oil pan. Choose Spectra Premium because it was made in Canada and had great reviews. The quality looks very good, with thick steel and a precision GM replacement part. Use the best 1-component RTV gasket available and let it dry for a day before adding oil. No leaks! I wish I had changed the oil pan before starting the engine. This is much easier than after installing the engine.

Pros
  • Durable powder coating on the outside of the oil pan for permanent rust protection.
Cons
  • So far so good
