I've tried all kinds of ice cream spoons and I'm not completely satisfied with any of them. This shovel is very well designed. It's a good weight and the tip is serrated so it cuts through even very frozen ice with ease. The inside of the shovel has a diamond pattern that prevents the ice from getting stuck so it really pops out like it should. The handle has a thick rubber insert on the back that acts as a grip and keeps the shovel off the counter when you put it down. This spoon is also great for cookie dough, meatballs, and even filling muffins or muffins. I use it often and am happy to finally have a shovel that works the way I want it to.
