I have ordered them twice. For the first time, everyone has been paired, except for one, of course. However, I liked the variety, although some doubles came from the sidelines like black, white, and gray, which are colors I have on hand anyway. This time I ordered spontaneously and hoped for something new. I understand that I can buy something for $16, but I hesitate to do it with strangers because there are often differences between what is shown and what is received. I received 25 different colors. While two of the three pinks and two purples look the same, they are REALLY different. I work with other materials in specific colors and I can't use every color in the universe, so of course there will be some that I can't use (at the moment). Of those 25, there are only three that I really can't use at the moment. I'm excited about the range. In other respects I don't find this product any worse or better than some other faux suede brands that I use. I use for tails on cat toys. The cord is strong enough to withstand the strong pull when I tie the two or three necessary knots. HARD jerk! Not that it matters to other users, but my cats (toy testers) have never been able to chew through (and presumably eat) the cord. Instead, the only disconnected cables I encountered became disconnected due to the knots coming undone. The line holds the knots GOOD, but is the long cat wiggle noticeable? Generally very happy.
