Review on Mayfair STA TITE Fastening 41EC 023 by Kirk Womack

I have bought several similar Mayfair chairs (I change about every three years). I've had issues in the past with seats not seating firmly on the bowl, but I've almost always been able to re-tighten the hardware and continue using the seats. When it came time to order another replacement, the new version of the STA-TITE seat caught my attention. I thought this updated version would eliminate the need to constantly tighten the plastic screws to keep the seat from moving from side to side. I bought a STA-TITE seat and installed it per the manufacturer's instructions, but after just a few days of use, one of the hinges started popping out of the fasteners. After just a month it fell into disrepair, every time someone sat on it the connecting screw ripped off. The seat was disposed of with the garbage. very disappointing.
