Tired of using the standard manhole hook to remove cable storage covers, boxes and valve boxes? Well, the thing does its job and doesn't bend even with heavy concrete vault covers. Two simple mods, put the end in a vise, straighten the hook 90 degrees and grind the two sides of the tip and you're done. I don't use this for round cast iron manhole covers, it still does the job of a standard manhole hook. That made my work a lot easier.
