It's beautifully made and a real tool, but it almost lasts.

Wow, that's a big piece of steel. It's beautifully made and a real tool, but almost needs a second person to hold it while in use. When converting axles to Dana 60 axles on Ford F350 and other large trucks, you need to fit this very expensive special bearing. Seal. Not only does the seal have to be pressed against the axle shaft to a certain depth, but it is a complex seal with bearings inside the seal that move, so you have to apply even pressure to all assemblies when pressing. On the internet people have been talking about how to make your own press and while it is cheap and lighter the weight of this tool also helps in pressing the gasket in. I had to bang on it for 3-5 minutes with a big 6lb hammer to get the gasket in place, it was hard work but without a big hydraulic press it was the only way to get it right. And when the print itself costs close to $60, the tool paid for itself without ruining the print the first time.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
