Works Very Well with a Cotton Rug; Sized Correctly

I got this for my mom's house to prevent her from slipping at the door when it's wet outside (along with a nice, thick, cotton rug), but it works very well with the rug we have, it came sized correctly, and it sticks well to solid flooring. I get the sense that if a lot of dirt / sand got through the carpet and under it, it would probably start sliding and would (along with the underfloor) need to be cleaned, but that is to be expected.
