Suitable for an old BMW

I like the look of this lantern. This gives the car a certain uniqueness. The only problem is that one side doesn't mount flush and I was concerned it might leak. It doesn't stick out much, maybe a millimeter or less. Although so far so good. No leaks, rainy weather for a few months. However, it would be better if it was smoother.
