If you're an athlete who doesn't have access to a shower after a workout for various reasons, you may have to drive home and risk leaving your car in the mud that may not wash off. I got this precisely because I didn't want my car to stink. I'm usually very picky about cleanliness and washing up after class but Covid has changed a lot for a lot of us and in my case I didn't have to go to the gym anymore. I have this so it can soak up the sweat and wash me off (rather than fumbling around and cleaning the upholstery). Two things I like: (1) it absorbs a lot of sweat, so it's even better for those of us who sweat like racehorses, and (2) it has to have some sort of antimicrobial on it because it doesn't smell. If you sweat on it 5 days a week, you can still go a month without washing (unless you're on meds or antibiotics) as it doesn't smell at all. After a month you wash it and it comes out clean and ready for further use. I tested it on passengers who are very picky about this question and worded the question in a way that they wouldn't suspect I was testing it. no one admitted it smelled, not even those who had complained before. A passenger even asked me if I had recently checked my car because it no longer smelled. I know it's terrible to talk about the stench, but the fact of the matter is that this towel/blanket eliminated that problem. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs something to cover their seat so sweat doesn't leave a stink in the car.
