Review on Discontinued Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR πŸ“· Camera Body Only with 18 MP CMOS Sensor by Somchai Somchai ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The purchase did not justify itself at all.

If you have experience shooting on cameras like Canon 30D, Canon 40D, and even more so full frame - think thrice before taking a seven. Canon's crazy race for pixels led to a sad result - the picture disappeared. She lost in volume, color, depth. 18 megapixels on the crop is a clear excess. 1. The camera is extremely demanding on the correct exposure - just something goes wrong and unpleasant dirty noises creep in. 2. Due to this number of megapixels, the camera is extremely sensitive to hand shake 3. Of course, the dynamic range also suffers - after all, there is no smell of a "fat" pixel here 4. There are restrictions on closing the aperture - with such a number of megapixels, diffraction begins to manifest itself 5. The camera is demanding on optics - and again from these notorious megapixels. Although, to be honest . I bet on the seven 135L - well, where is it better? And the picture still turned out such that I just wanted to delete all the pictures In general, I will sell and buy my seven in the Canon 40D secondary market. For I need a picture, not a show-off

Pros
  • Tenacious autofocus Sophisticated focusing system The ability to lock the exposure when shooting with an external flash
Cons
  • The camera produces a flat, featureless picture with unpleasant itchy noises. The main reason for this is the excessive number of megapixels on the cropped matrix

Its pros: 7 frames per second, fast autofocus, comfortable ergonomics, second screen, remote flash control. Some cons: morally obsolete. not enough megapixels. makes noise at iso above 800. Modern cameras will have more dynamic range.

It is not dustproof. No moisture. Just dustproof.
