Review on DDXJ Flameless Flickering Christmas Decoration by Jacob Thorson

meh, ok The remote control can be shared between sets.

You can share the remote control sets! I bought a 9 and 6 piece set, both from DRomance, both with the same candle types (3D flame, AA batteries, wax drop) and all candles respond to both remotes. Very convenient as each set comes with only one remote control, no backups: I run them every day from 5pm to 1am and never really turn them off to use the remote: they lasted a month and a half before me to replace the batteries. There were no problems with batteries. The light is yellow-orange. They're pretty dim even on the brightest setting, not bright enough to really illuminate anything nearby, just nice for atmosphere. You need to point the remote control in the direction of the candles: candles in a group will turn on and off at the same time, but not the whole room, and certainly not candles in neighboring rooms. The timer function is useless if you manually turn the candles on and off from time to time outside of the timer schedule: this will completely reset the timer, requiring you to set it again. I'm not happy with the quality: - The battery caps don't fit well - Only one remote control is included - Every time I change the batteries I have to hit the bottom of each candle several times (HARD) before they light up. - A few candles didn't light up at all. However, this was the ONLY brand of candles that met all my needs and they worked pretty well. - 3D flames, no fancy new moving flames. (The new flame has a reputation for constantly clicking softly, which is going to drive me insane.) - Remote control works well - Candles don't get hot at all - Flicker pattern looks very natural and all candles flicker independently; the candles do NOT all flicker unnaturally at the same time. They look exactly like the picture, with realistic decorative wax drops.

Pros
  • Battery Operated: Each LED dripping candle requires 1 CR2450 battery (battery included), more than 300 hours of life, no worries about the risk of fire, smoking, safety for your family members and pets
