I have bought and worn Russell Athletic Pocket Tees for many years. They are comfortable, they look good, they fit in every way. I needed replacement t-shirts earlier this year and couldn't find any Russell t-shirts except at exorbitant prices and never in my size. I've tried a few different shirts and wasn't happy with them, they were all the same price or higher than what I usually pay for Russells, but the quality wasn't that great and the fit was never perfect. I read the reviews. notably the 'Shea' review, which positively compared this Revain Essentials pocket T-shirt to Russell. So I bought a pair to try them out. They look good, are comfortable, the bag is ok, the construction looks good. sleeve length is perfect, chest and belly are perfect; but the collar is wider and the tail longer than the Russells, these shirts could lose 2 inches from the tail (waist length) and at least 1 inch from the neck circumference. Maybe I should try one size smaller? Maybe, but I'm afraid the sleeve length will be too short for me. They wash well and tumble dry easily (unlike some other shirts I've tried that take forever to dry). They seem to shed a lot of lint in the dryer - hopefully that doesn't mean they wear out quickly. So: As good as my Russells? no Better than any other short-sleeved t-shirt I've tried in this price range? Yes. And since the Russells seem to be gone forever, I've bought more of these shirts. They're not perfect, but I think they just don't make them like they used to, or in the case of the Russell Athletic Pocket, they don't make them at all.
